This is what happened to 35-year-old Dmytro. He hoped to find shelter and peace in a rehabilitation center after quarrels with relatives, to recover and get rid of bad habits. Instead, instead of treatment, he was forced to work hard under any circumstances, which led to his disability. The man managed to escape from there. Later, he was found by Poltava region law enforcement officers and informed that criminal proceedings had been opened against the management of the institution. Dmytro agreed to testify so that the guilty would be punished.

Meanwhile, his health was deteriorating, he could not work. The police recommended that Dmytro contact the Adaptation Center of the NGO "Light of Hope", because we work together to combat human trafficking and support victims of this shameful phenomenon. More about Dmytro's story in the video.

If you are a victim of human trafficking, please contact the government hotline at 15 47. Or email us at office@lightofhope.com.ua.
