As part of the project "Creating Community Safety Together", the Poltava District Department of Civil Protection and Preventive Activities of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Poltava Region was replenished with first aid and transportation equipment. Rescuers received:

  • 60 first aid kits;
  • 30 stretchers;
  • over 1,900 turnstiles.
"Compact modern stretchers, high-quality turnstiles, medical first-aid kits are extremely necessary means for providing high-quality first-aid care. They are also consumables, the stocks of which must be constantly replenished, given the current threats of shelling. We will distribute the received assistance between the units of the Poltava garrison," — said Serhiy Pruglo, head of the Poltava District Department of Civil Protection and Preventive Activities of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Poltava region.

This initiative is being implemented through the Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund program, which is implemented by IREX with the support of the US Department of State.

"Rescuers are often the first to arrive at the scene of an emergency and provide first aid to the injured. Therefore, we provided them with everything they need for their work, including during the elimination of the consequences of enemy shelling, in order to increase the chances of rescuing those who need it," said Serhiy Zhuk, chairman of the board of the Light of Hope NGO.
