The social adaptation of those released from prison was discussed at a meeting of the regional supervisory commission. The head of the Adaptation Center for the Homeless and Those Released from Prison of the Light of Hope NGO, Marina Pereverzova, took part in the meeting. The specialist spoke about the work of the institution during 2025.

During this period, more than 300 people received services at the Adaptation Center. Of these, about fifty ended up in a shelter after serving their sentence. They can live and eat in the Adaptation Center. Social workers also support them. Specialists help clients find a job, make a budget and plan expenses, draw up the necessary documents and receive quality treatment if necessary. The Adaptation Center helps those released from prison achieve stability and independence in everyday life in order to minimize the risk of getting into repeated crisis situations and returning to illegal behavior.
The Center's activities are carried out with the support of the social security and social protection program of the Poltava city territorial community "Care".
