Trainings for employees of educational institutions have begun in the Poltava community, where they learn what to do if someone needs help before the arrival of doctors.

According to professional standards, teachers must be able to provide first aid, so it is important to periodically practice and update their knowledge. During the trainings, participants learn to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, stop bleeding by applying a tourniquet, and pack a wound.
"It was incredible! The first course, where there is more practice than theory, and it is very effective. Now I am not afraid to be with children during an air raid, because I know that I will be able to provide real help if the need arises! Sincere gratitude for this day!" - shared her impressions of the primary school teacher Natalia.
"This is the first time I've taken a really useful course. It was physically difficult, but you have to know that," said training participant and teacher Marina.
"It was also useful practically, because at the university they explained the theory, but there were no practical classes. At the training, you could do everything in conditions close to real ones," said physical education teacher Yuriy.

The training takes place within the framework of the project "Creating Community Safety Together", which is implemented by the Light of Hope NGO thanks to the Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund program, which is implemented by IREX with the support of the US Department of State.
