Their own apartment in Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and its renovation cost Olena Khodusova’s family almost all their savings. The woman was sure that later she and her husband would accumulate savings, because they had their own successful business. However, due to the full-scale war, they lost everything: both housing and their own business.
Initially, Olena, together with her lover and child, her parents and her husband’s relatives, moved to a hut in a small village in the Kremenchuk district of the Poltava region. After recovering, the relatives settled down. In the host community, Olena and her husband offered tree and plant care services. When Bakhmut was destroyed, the couple decided to restore their favorite business in the Poltava region — https://www.instagram.com/green_bakhmut.
To implement this idea, Olena Khodusova took part in the WIWAT project (Unbreakable Women’s Initiative — Persistently and Actively).
