Firstly, they travel to small settlements so that people who live far from important healthcare facilities can receive professional services.
Secondly, clients can use a package of services at once and consult with several specialists and on more than one issue.


This initiative is actively supported by the German Government and the EU, so thanks to their funding, mobile medical teams are currently working in the Bochechkivska, Krolevetska, and Popivska communities of Sumy region.
So, at the reception of doctors of medical teams, you can receive the following services:
- general clinical examination of the patient;
- measurement of blood pressure, body temperature, oxygen saturation;
- determination of blood glucose and cholesterol levels;
- electrocardiogram (ECG);
- referral of patients to specialized doctors if necessary;
- prescription of treatment and targeted assistance with basic medicines for non-communicable diseases.
Mobile team psychologists also provide psychological support and conduct information sessions on protection issues, including the prevention of gender-based violence. Social workers advise on protecting the rights and supporting the most vulnerable groups, and help victims of violence, war, and difficult life circumstances.


The project is implemented within the EMPOWER project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-financed by the European Union, and implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
