This is about supporting men and women registered in the Avtozavodsky and Kryukivskyi district departments of the branch of the State Institution "Probation Center" in the Poltava region.
Thanks to the social order of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Kremenchuk City Council, they received the following services:
Short-term counseling on the main symptoms and routes of HIV, tuberculosis, and hepatitis infection, assistance in undergoing testing and screenings, referrals as needed for specialized services;
Social support for people with HIV and tuberculosis, including needs assessment, support in forming adherence to treatment, representation of interests in medical institutions, and monitoring of treatment.
"Social ordering is a tool that allows the community to care for those who desperately need support. For people vulnerable to HIV, this is a chance to receive treatment, regain control over their lives, and take a step towards a better future. Often they are unable to cope with these challenges on their own," noted Ivanna Danylyshyna, Head of the Public Health Programs Department of the Light of Hope NGO.
