This week, the following people learned how to save lives:
- employees of municipal enterprises;
- specialists from the Veterans Center;
- employees of the executive committee of the city council;
- and employees of educational institutions.

Utility workers have learned valuable first aid skills as they are deployed to deal with the aftermath of enemy shelling. When working in a potentially dangerous area where the enemy may strike again, it is important to be able to provide first aid to yourself or your colleagues.
"The event was extremely useful, informative and practical. Thanks to you, we gained important knowledge and skills that can save lives. Special thanks for involving employees of municipal enterprises in the participation. The skills acquired are extremely important for our daily work and improving safety in the community,” — Olga, Chief Specialist of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Executive Committee of the Poltava City Council.

Specialists of the Veterans Center and the Executive Committee work in institutions where there are a considerable number of visitors. Some of them directly consult people on a regular basis. Therefore, the knowledge gained may be useful during work.
"A very informative, useful, and well-structured training," says Alla, a specialist at the Veterans Center.

For teaching staff, training in first aid is mandatory.
"My expectations were justified. I received answers to all the questions I had. It is very important that we were able to practice theoretical knowledge practically on mannequins," - teacher Marina.

The training takes place within the framework of the project "Creating Community Safety Together" and is implemented by the Light of Hope NGO thanks to the Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund program, which is implemented by IREX with the support of the US Department of State.
