Three groups of students began training in Poltava in the following areas:
- features of installation and operation of solar panels;
- technology for making bread and bakery products;
- basics of therapeutic and health massage.
The training is free for all participants. It was organized within the framework of the project “Support for the social and financial recovery of war-affected communities of the Poltava region” to promote the successful retraining of people in accordance with the demands of the labor market.

Trainees have passed preliminary selection, started training, and after its completion will receive appropriate certificates and will be able to look for a job in a new specialty.
“Our support is aimed at participants with vulnerabilities who really need retraining to become competitive in the labor market. For example, the group studying the “Fundamentals of Therapeutic and Health Massage” course consists of people with visual impairments. This is the profession in which they will be able to find work or become self-employed in the future,” explained Anatoliy Pavlenko, Deputy Director of the “Light of Hope” NGO.

Several groups are also preparing to begin training in other relevant areas in the near future.

The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Light of Hope NGO in partnership with JERU (Joint Emergency Response in Ukraine of international NGOs Welthungerhilfe and Concern Worldwide).
