Five graduates have successfully completed their training as fitters.

Five graduates successfully completed their training as wheeled vehicle repair mechanics.

They received training as part of the project "Support for the Social and Financial Recovery of War-Affected Communities in the Poltava Region," one component of which is free retraining for professions in demand on the labor market.

The training took place at Kremenchuk Vocational School No. 26, where participants studied theory and gained practical experience.

"The training gave me an understanding of what’s actually under the hood of a car. Before this, I only knew what a battery looked like because I’d seen my husband charging it—and that was it. Now, I can apply for a service advisor position at an auto repair shop. I’ll understand what I’m discussing with customers or contractors," shared Elina, a graduate of the course.

"I came to the training center to learn metal welding. I found out about this program and decided to give it a try. I have a background as a design engineer and experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty vehicles, but I lacked the specific knowledge of passenger cars needed to get a job," said Oleksandr, a veteran.

Currently, another group is undergoing training in the specialty "Fundamentals of Therapeutic and Wellness Massage" under the free retraining program.

The project is implemented by the Light of Hope NGO within the EMPOWER project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-financed by the European Union, and implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
