Teams of specialists travel to remote settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions to provide people with access to the necessary services. In addition to physical and mental health problems, they often need support in solving a number of everyday issues. It is with such requests that social workers deal.
Depending on the request, specialists can:
- assess the person's needs and plan for overcoming the crisis;
- advise on a specific government service that the person wants to receive but does not know the algorithm of actions;
- provide longer support in several stages during the gradual resolution of the problem, etc.

Also, one of the priorities in the work of the mobile team social worker is identifying cases of gender-based violence and referring them to the appropriate response services.
However, a specialist does not solve the problem for someone else. His task is to do everything possible to ensure that the person receives all the necessary resources to resolve his request. For the sake of the self-sufficiency of the person who applied.

Thus, German and European investments help people in frontline areas overcome difficulties and improve their situation.
The project is implemented by the Light of Hope NGO within the EMPOWER project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-financed by the European Union, and implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
