Our Values
- We are sure that if a person has HIV it does not deprive him or her of the right to be a healthy, valuable and productive member of society.
- We do not discriminate based on gender, nationality, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation.
- People who live with HIV or chemical dependency have the right to medical and psychological care.
- We believe that HIV+ children have equal rights, and therefore, have equal access to skilled medical care and education.
- We recognize that active participation in self-help groups considerably improves the psychological health and emotional well-being of HIV+ people.
- We understand that chemical addiction is a chronic and progressive illness in which the patient has no guilt. Nevertheless, the illness can be stopped if a drug user or an alcoholic accepts his chemical dependence and changes his way of thinking. We trust that the "12 Step Program" is the most effective method of rehabilitation.
- We are convinced that by joining with public forces we can reduce the spread of HIV and improve the lives of those who live with HIV and AIDS.
